 Yes, I am aware of the fact that I am a cheater for posting 2 photos, hehe. I couldn't resist... I loooove Aiden's feet!

Okay so these were taken on manual with natural light, and I was pretty pleased with them SOOC. But I managed to find time to install the perfect portrait action that was suggested to me, and thought I would see what it does! First of all, installing it made me want to throw my computer out the window. So by the time I figured it out (lots of googling before I realized there is a program DATA folder... I was looking in program files because I am stubborn and assume I know what I am doing when I don't) I was frazzled and out of time and I really don't get the whole layer mask/black brush/white brush mumbo jumbo.

The good news is I am going to try to let my mom have my lil man for a few hours tomorrow so I can read the tutorials and start learning! As long as my separation anxiety doesn't get the best of me I will have some serious study time ;-)

    Ahhh...I did the same thing with the data folder!! ;) Too funny, but I sure do love those feet!

    I feel your pain on installing actions! I felt the exact same way the first time!! These are beautiful! I love his little toes! You can cheat all you want...it's your blog :O)

    These are beautiful, Branson! Was your shutter speed really set to 1/5s?!? If so, I'm amazed with how clear they are!

    Karin - Yep! i/5s! I always turn the ISO down and then lengthen my shutter speed when my subject is not moving (A was asleep). I use my remote to eliminate any camera shake on my part. =)

    Thanks, Branson! I don't have a remote, but I think I want to get one based on what you say. Perhaps some of my picture that do not come out very clear are due to my own movement while holding it.

    You can also set the timer ;-) If I am going handheld with no remote, I always take a deep breath and hold it. Matt looks at me funny, but do you see the picture of the bugs up in my header? No tripod, no remote... of course I was in bright light so I am sure the shutter speed was much faster!! I really do have to think about being still though because I am not a still person, lol.
