Shopping day means two things... lots of pretty produce, and the need to bribe the hubby with a little treat! I thought it would be fun to leave the produce shot natural, but "sweeten" the shot of the mini-cupcake with some fun editing.
So about this watermark business... I get how to do it like some people do with the bar, but I just can't bring myself to put it on. I guess it would be different if I was a professional or wanted to sell my images. This big text only watermark is almost too much for me even, lol! It is weird though, because I don't even notice it on other people's photos. *shrug* I am just weird I guess!
So colorful. The cupcake one is fun too. I like the texture. I too love playing with textures.

ReplyDeleteI think your watermark looks good. If you're worried about it being too much tone the opacity down more. I have mine at no more than 30% visibility. You really have to play with it to get the look you want and it is definitely something you have to get used to looking at. A lot of it too has to do with placement. I always move my bar around until I like where it sits in the picture so it won't be cropped out but not so in your face that it ruins the picture.

ReplyDeleteYour Watermark looks good, I am currently working on a new one. I feel marking a photo is like signing a letter.
Branson, I don't think your watermark is taking away from your pictures. You're probably just more sensitive to it because they are your photos.

ReplyDeleteYum! I love food pictures, these are great. I struggle with liking my watermark too, I feel like is makes my photos ugly. But, I also think it needs to be big enough that if someone tried to crop it out it would take away from the picture.
