I have never participated in #TheCircleLinkUp before, but I saw it on a couple of blogs recently (Like Susannah's) and thought I would join in this month. There is a new theme each month, and this time it is a Thankful Acrostic Poem. How fun!
T - ten tiny toes - Don't ask me why that is what popped into my head for "T" along with a flash of the picture above. These toes are not so tiny any more! I am so blessed to be a mama. It think perhaps the fact that we waited so long for Aiden... that we were convinced we would never be parents by the time he arrived... makes it even more amazing to be living this life as a mama. I am so blessed.
H - handsome, helpful hubby - I am definitely one lucky girls to have a husband who helps out so much. He is a wonderful provider and a dad who makes life fun for Aiden. Matt is my best friend, and there is no one else I would rather be living this life with every day.
A - awesome sibling adventures - It is never boring when I get together with my siblings. I am thankful for each of them, as well as my mom who gave us all a place in this wacky family. While I won't get to see all of my brothers and sisters this thanksgiving, I do look forward to the times we can gather in one place.
N - nieces and nephews - Before I became a mama I had years of being an Aunt to enjoy. Now I get to have the best of both worlds! I am especially thankful for my sweet niece who will soon make me a great-Aunt when she becomes a mother herself! Amazing!
K - koinonia - The greek word for fellowship found in Acts 2:42 and also the name of my instagram Bible study group that has blessed me so! Being able to connect with sweet sisters in Christ and also have fellowship with our church family locally is wonderful.
F - faithful friends - I truly have amazing friends! I wish more of them lived nearby, but I have also been blessed with some truly dear local friends as well. I am thankful for the technology that allows me to keep in touch with those friends near and far.
U - undeserved mercy and grace - The greatest gift of all is the gift of grace, freely given by my amazing Savior. There are no words to express the depth of my gratitude for this gift, but I pray my life could be an offering that brings glory to Him.
L - learning opportunities with our teens - Working as youth ministry volunteers is an adventure for sure. We love our teens, and it has been amazing to watch them grow and mature. I am thankful for this final year with them before they go out into the world as young adults!

Koinonia - that's a new one for me, but I like it! My family and I finally found a church we like in our town, after moving here 6 years ago. We're still pretty new, but I'm already enjoying the fellowship we've found there.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I LOVE YOUR LIST!!! SO creative!!! Those ten tiny toes are adorable! And yes, I am one of those blessed wives with a helpful husband… it truly is such a blessing!! I love sibling adventures too. They'll be harder to come by since I just recently got married last month and moved 2,000 miles away from my family, BUT we WILL make it happen!! I love my nieces and nephews too.. such little goofballs! I love that you used the greek word for fellowship. I didn't know of that word! Fellowship is SO important to me! I love that you added that, and that you are part of a IG bible study group that focuses on that word! And yes, yes, yes to undeserved grace and mercy! What a blessing that gives so much life and joy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up with Kiki and I this month (and for adding me on IG!)
OH this is such a fun link up. Might have to join! I was actually just doing acrostics with my son last night :) Those toes are the best part though!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing list! First off, I'm a huuuuge fan of your photos of your little one! Those photos are beautiful and Aiden is lucky to call you Mom. I'm only saying this because I'm a teacher and being a mom is something that I've always dreamed of--and I also know the feeling of wanting something so badly and then truly appreciating it once it's there! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us!! I loved getting to know you through this poem!
